Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr has apologised to supporters for his response when replaced in Sunday's intense match against Barcelona victory.
The Brazilian was substituted in the 72nd minute and showed his disappointment by walking immediately off the pitch.
He later returned to the sidelines and, following his club's 2-1 victory, tried to confront Barça's Lamine Yamal during unsavoury after the game incidents.
"This day I want to say sorry to all the supporters for my response when I was replaced in the Clasico," the player wrote on social media.
"In the same way as I have said in person during this morning's session, I wish to express regret anew to my teammates, the organization, and the leadership.
"Sometimes passion gets the better of me because I constantly desire to win and assist my club. My winning mentality stems from the passion I hold for this club and each thing it symbolizes."
The player joined Real from Flamengo in recent years for a significant fee and has scored over a century of strikes in 335 appearances.
But his future in the La Liga is unclear with reports in the past few months stating that the club would contemplate allowing the player depart if they got a suitable offer.
When Vinicius was replaced on that day, cameras from broadcaster the service recorded him remarking: "Always me! I'm exiting the club! It's better if I go, I'm going."
In his new statement on the platform, the athlete said: "I promise to keep battling at all times for the welfare of Real Madrid, as I have acted since the very beginning."
